On some non-trading sections there are a lot of offensive/flame posts.
They are of course reported, offender gets a punishment ranging from 10minutes suspence to 10% warn.
But the original post remains intact, so to the people not involved it looks like its ok to flame/insult on the forum.
I suggest to hide the post content after it was marked by mod as rules violence.
It could be still viewed after clicking on "show post anyway".
Such a change would help make forums more friendly place and make haters job less effective.

To me, the better suggestion would be to actually block posts from users you ignore. For some reason ignoring only prevents them from PMing you, but you still see every one of their posts.

I like your idea. I recommend checking out this topic on how to post a site suggestion https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=57896631 and using a poll so users can vote on your idea.

I hear you on this and I think your idea is great but it's not necessarily needed on our forums here.

The trading forums is one of the general features provided by d2jsp for members to exchange forum gold with each other.

Non-trading forums provide an area for members to post in topics and which do not associate a trade, and if does it would be an Event that happens not to often as of right now. While topics in general discussions can be seen differently from many members of the community so can rules that are being reported as being broken. The site rules mentions the following,
Quote
Interpretation of rule violations is up to the sole discretion of the d2jsp Staff.
With this in mind It would also be up to the discretion of the staff to remove posts in which could offend any particular user regardless if it offends the rest of the site. This in return would remove time from staff being able to volunteer and taking part of the trading parts of the forums. As of right now the site removes the most offensive posts which break the site rules and if site rules are being broken then you making a report while you contribute to posting correctly in the topic is the better bet to bring about quality topics to any general non-trading sub-forums.

If a post is bad enough it is hidden, if not then its probably nothing to worry about, just ignore it and move on.

I am sorry but I do not feel this is sound advice for non-trading sections of the site. If a user posts then they have contributed to the topic and have contributed to the site. How anyone in the community decides to read that and go forward with it is up to that person.

That is how it is, you can't change reality, posts that are bad enough to be hidden are already hidden.
There is always going to be sadists on the internet, if you cant ignore words on a screen then they will see you as an easy victim.
All you have to do is ignore the post, there is no better option, the staff can't hide you from everything and if there was an option to view the post you would do it anyway because it is human nature.

I'm not here to argue with you or change reality. We both stated general same ideas of when posts can be removed.

Please feel free to discuss anything to do with the site suggestion.

I wouldnt use it to block flame and insults, id just block users specifically. Which they won't ever implement.
