In times when online security is playing an increasingly important role and d2jsp accounts are not only of ideal value, I think it would make sense to offer a voluntary two-factor authentication.

So if you wish to have a higher security level of your account you could activate this feature by adding your phone number to the settings.

With doing so you will have to type a security code sent to your phone each time you want to log into your account.

Since many sites like paypal, discord and what not offer this option on a volunteer basis I would like to have this option at d2jsp aswell.

Let me know what you think :)

I voted yes, but in all fairness, that is predicated on it remaining voluntary as you suggested.

This type of authentication (required by my bank - not optional - but I get it in those situations) can become cumbersome sometimes and the ability to turn it off at will would be a necessity in my opinion.

Good luck! :)

Voted Yes. I always air on the side of more security, and would definitely would like to see some MFA options.

/edit - also would be great for preventing account sharing. :)

We already have implemented gold passwords on login where no other site has a 2nd password. While I know that it isn't exactly like two factor authentication with time changing tokens we feel that the added security is enough. If a time comes where our position changes on this we will add it. Thanks for your post.
