When i'm looking at building a new character searching for items, I thought it would be nice to have this feature to find things easier.

Many people will title or have different names for items, so this would help classify things together if you wanted to search for only "druid" items.

We have to select a buying/selling tab when we make a new trade topic, so why not have another option to select a "class filter". Obviously it would be optional so if you quickly posted an item for sale and didn't click on a class it wouldn't show up. So it wouldn't be a large improvement but it would help make your post more visible for people searching for certain items.

It could be added into one of these selections.

I can see when people make trade threads with large quantities of items this wouldn't apply, but if you have leftovers from a build you are selling together, this would help make people looking for that build/character.

Depending on how the Diablo 2 remastered turns out if all servers combine to one. Would be an excellent idea. Easier to filter through posts since I anticipate it to be crazy in the trading forums. My vote is yes.

Edit: try adding a poll for yes and no if possible. :)

If you're wanting class specific items, click the ft section then use the search function to find whatever class. It will only search ft topics instead of the all where it includes everything.

Most people put main tags in their posts, [druid torch, sorc circ, nec ammy], so its easy to find.

This might be more useful with d2R, but as is, the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

I just find when I search I find a lot of the larger trade threads. i've gone several pages deep without getting good results.

I agree it probably isn't worth the work to implement the idea, but the filter for runes/charms/runewords is there so that idea just came to mind.

Sorry, I know it has good intentions, but there are far too many in-game items that are used in every class. Enigma, Hoto, Magefists, etc.

It would be a bit too difficult to narrow each item down to a specific class especially when we already have a keyword search.

I vote no, good sir. :(

yeah, it would be more of an optional selection to hopefully sell your items quicker by making them easier to find. wouldn't apply to 95% of the trade threads but figured if they have filters for runes/charms/runewords there has to be some type of system in place already to add more/different types of filters.

A couple issues.

1. So many items are “caster” or “melee” and are used across numerous char types.

2. You could just type “druid” or “sorc” into the search bar.
