This feature is now complete and live. Guild owners and active members* that have Accept Member rights will now receive notifications for member join requests.
*Up to the top 10 members eligible will receive the notification.

I think this was a great idea and I have enjoyed utilizing it.

Unfortunately others have accidentally clicked the Reject while on the Manage Pending Members page. I have found this can cause a negative experience with users both in and outside of a Guild. I have more user experience to support this site suggestion and I may go into those details later.

Since Guild Owners are already allowed to remove users or give rights to guild members to remove guildmates I believe rejecting a member should be removed or modified from the latest Guild Membership Request Upgrade.

So did you vote and why?

Don't give rights to people who you do not want (or trust) to make the right decisions for accepting or denying.

I don't want someone I trust to accidentally reject someone. Also it will not necessarily be up to the person who made the mistake to correct it and the person who has been rejected may not react nicely. Since a Guild Membership request can take a variety of time to consider there are more chances for accidents or wrong choices to happen.

Having someone be able to reject a member was somewhat already available as I could give rights to people to remove others from the Guild.

Sometimes it doesn't take a Leader or Trusted to accept someone new to a Guild.

For example. I have given accept rights to all sorts of folks in Guild: Town Portal .

I find people enjoy it and it helps with diversity, loyalty, circles of friends, and more. I like that and the site upgrade has been great. The fun and potential behind it is amazing.

That being said the feeling and responsibility of rejecting someone is not for everyone  .

How does one "accidently" reject a member? Not exactly a thing where the reject option just pops under your cursor. Lmao

Youre grasping for straws trying to get them to pass one of your suggestions m8

:o

I think I have allowed a good 85+ Guildmates to accept potential members into a Guild.

The misclick has happened enough for me to make a site suggestion. If you want to try and build on it to make it better then please do. I have tried to do that.

I have a pretty good way to build on it

Dont let 85+ people in your guild have "accept members rights".

Makes sense right?

Not to me.

One reason is that notifications are OP.

I can go on but I like to let people try and figure it out.

:)
