My suggestion is for quotes to automatically embed the quoted post's link within them so that when you click on a quote it takes you to the topic and the post # from where it was quoted.
For example, sometimes there are topics that are many pages long and people begin reading from the beginning and end up continuing the conversation by replying to someone from a page in the middle of the topic. So this person quotes them and because of the way quotes work now you can see the person quoted and their comment, but many times these people are quoting others, so if you wish to follow and understand the complete conversation you have to search many pages which is very tedious especially in large topics. Even if it's within the same page or a page back it's a nice QoL thing since now you wouldn't have to ctrl-f the quote or look for the quoted post by time to continue reading the prior conversation.
My suggestion alleviates the tediousness and allows everyone to easily follow quotes and read the conversation from the end to the beginning. The way I imagine it working is you press the "Quote" button and it automatically embeds a link to the post # similarly to how you used to manually be able to place a link within a quote as seen
here in the section "15. Quoting From A Link". However, rather than placing a link it would make the whole upper portion clickable maybe a box similar to the current
notification system, but with the quote details instead of the name and also redirecting to the post, not the user.
So, I screenshotted the quote below to create a demonstration. You can see the quote as normal, but if you click on it right now it will take you to the topic and post #.

Since the above is an image, the whole quote is clickable, but if this is added it may be better if only the top part of the quote is clickable where it says
Quote (njaguar @ Feb 9 2020 08:10am)If this is added then it may also be a good idea to differentiate quotes that are embedded with a link and clickable from those that aren't. That can be done by changing the style a bit like the image below which is similar to the
notification style.
