An icon or some component denoting status as a repaid scammer would be nice, potentially even someone with an accusation that’s active (mostly for UAP).

I’m not sure if this has been suggested previously, but transparency when trading is always nice.

How To Post A Site Suggestion:

Moreover I don't think people who made a mistake in the past deserve eternal damnation.

You have an account for 13 years. Are you the same person as 13 years ago?

While it's unacceptable to scam, is there a need to permanently isolate an individual in this community who has set right their wrongdoings or defame them before guilt has been proven?

I believe that they should have every opportunity opened to them once they have built again their integrity---this is a value that contributes to the exceptional quality of this community.

It’s the same concept as a sex offender’s registry. The person may have changed, but it would be nice to identify what they have been so it can be further vetted.

I really can't agree with this.

There's so many variables at play where crime happens. Grading this and comparing it to that lacks realism, wouldn't you agree?

I'll be clear: I do not support the idea of leaving discriminating information available to all who wish to see when a person has made well on their actions. Basically, everybody makes mistakes, and everyone breaks rules---a person's actions are not set in stone. People do change, and many who were the worst of people have become the best of people. I think it is graceful to give grace back to those who have lacked it. This creates positive growth.

If the staff think there is a strong risk of re-offending the tags would not be removed.
This suggestion would make fake accusations more common and would tie up our overworked s/a guys with more work and allow real scammers to get away with it.

This.

Re-offenders aren’t very common and fake accusation rates would go through the roof. Implementing something like this would impede trading and increase attempts at creating other accounts.

I can’t speculate if the multi rate would increase; it’s pretty rampant as is. Your first statement is inaccurate though. A quick browse of that subsection shows a tremendous amount of repeat offenders, potentially greater than half (I’ll review the totality for S’s and G’s when I have a minute)

This isn't true...

Their are people running around who have had the tag numerous times. It wouldn't cause a rise in false accusations either.

A false accusation has no proof behind it, so they are meaningless anyways.

I would like to see some form of tag remain if someone did recently scam. The worst that can happen is the other user refuses to go first or they get a med. Makes the scammer do things the right way.

I'm not against the suggestion, anything to try and better the multi infestations....
