I know this seems like an odd request for most but hear me out.

For example threads like these are more of a heads up and I do not care to get notifications for it.
I can't untrack the thread so I'm stuck being notified every time someone responds.
I'd be far more inclined to post more free game heads up if this was implemented.

Maybe a check box like track this topic but instead "do not track" option like so...

Perhaps add an option to make it default-able too.

It is by default for threads you make.
I don't have this topic tracked but its still notifies me when people post in it.

If you would like to not get notifications for your topics you need to track the topic and specify that you would not like notifications (uncheck the box):

We will not make the default to NOT inform you of replies in your topic. I don't understand why you'd want to make a topic and not care that someone replied to it.
