Not sure if it has been suggested before, but perhaps it could be implemented.

Being able to choose a default text size, font, font color, bold, underline, etc for each time the text box is opened.
If it has been suggested/declined previously disregard!

I prefer it clean either way so I dont mind

I figured it had been.. I'll keep bumping in the hopes it gets accepted Haha. I typically just use default as well but have been mixing it up lately

voting yes as I do in all of these. Though Kevin said he doesn't like people using colorful text as is so probably won't happen. Though Johmiller92 created a CSS that may help
