This is in regards to Posting trades on jsp and the 30 second wait time for the next post, and the Posting Too Fast page that pops up if you do try to post too soon.

So on some download sites, if you use the download link, the next time you go to use the download button, the button is "ghosted" and you can't physically click it until the wait time has expired.

I think this is a much better solution than the "Posting Too Fast" warning page. Because not only does jsp have to generate a new page, which makes you click the back button and then jsp has to generate your original page again, but it's just a lot of back and forth on the user end as well that can be avoided.

This will also take away the uncertainty of when you can make your next post instead of scratching your head thinking "has it been 30 seconds"?

Short of a Countdown timer, (which would also be a decent solution) I think the Ghosted "Post" button is as good if not better because as a User you have something physical on the page letting you know you posted too soon.

As of now I set my desktop clock to display the seconds and I have to watch it go by 30 seconds which is annoying.

Would be so much more convenient and GUI wise to have a grayed out post button letting you know it's too early to post again.

The same could be done for the Send Message button which I believe has a 15 second cooldown.

Just slow down... Jesus lol. Maybe go outside.

If anything. I’d rather see the 30 seconds go to like a 2 minute or longer timer. Would really cut down on spam and crap posts. Make people think about if it’s worth posting a little more.

I don't think some1 who only has a few minutes to hop on jsp in between work and family wants to wait 8 minutes to make their measly 4 trade posts. If anything it should be Zero seconds and just enforce the 4 post rule like it always has been.

What abput messaging i miss trading with people before they go afk for like 30 seconds then i send it and there afk becuase i sent a pm to late what about those get a polll going

Maybe meet in the middle, the solution could be something like only the bump button on posts is available always, if you can 4hr bump the thread w the bump button there shouldn't be a timer on that. Every other post should have 1 min timer between posts.

I don't have that many posts, but have only encountered the flood post page when I had warn% and was higher, can't recall hitting a 30sec one
