I believe the message box is a little too aligned to the right that it can be difficult to see new messages at the moment they're sent. Before, there was a decently sized (1) which made it very visible, as well as it being a little more aligned towards the center.

I just think the message box could be aligned a little more to the left.

I think after 16 years moving it would probably cause a lot more harm than good. Voted no in my head.
