Regardless of how you choose to spend your time here on d2jsp, trading via forum gold will always be a vital part of the d2jsp experience - if not the main reason why many people choose to use this site to begin with. If you are a "regular" trader like myself, it is not uncommon to browse through your past forum gold transactions and find records ranging anywhere from:

Showing Transactions From The Month of: · Total Transactions: 0 · Gold In/Out: 0.00 / 0.00

to

Showing Transactions From The Month of: · Total Transactions: 129 · Gold In/Out: 9,777.00 / -7,174.00

Forum gold logs serve many purposes such as:
  • Keeping track of who you have interacted with in the past.
  • Monitoring trading activity level (high's and low's).
  • Sources of income/expenses (what has made you forum gold vs. what you have spent forum gold on)
  • Trust Development (prolonged/numerous trades with a user can develop a level of trust with that particular user)
At the end of the day, your transaction log will always continue to grow. I believe that being able to see your total amount of transactions along with your total amount of gold in/out can be very beneficial to those of us who wish to see the amount of progress they have achieved since joining d2jsp.

Suggestion: Include two amounts that sum up your total transactions and your total gold in/out since you joined d2jsp at the bottom of the Forum Gold Management page. For example:

Total Transactions: 1,234 · Total Gold In/Out: 123,456.78 / 123,456.78

Would be a huge amount of data that needs to be calculated all the time for everyone opening the gold logs.
I am pretty sure this has some impact on the performance and there is no worthy benefit to it in my personal opinion.

I personally would be way more interested in a search function within the gold logs to look up certain transactions. Basically the same thing we got added in the site suggestion sub forum.
Would be a huge benefit then actually having to look trough several gold logs and guessing where it is.

Edit:
While writing this I noticed I already suggested that in 2012 thanks to the search function:

I dont know if it's possible to implement it the same way like the "site suggestion search" since it got a little different mechanic behind it or if it needs an adjustment.

Just export all of them as .csv, import them into your favourite spreadsheet program (Excel, Google docs or whatever) and calculate those numbers on your own.

True could be done, but still would take ages, and this topic was just to see how many agreed with me that this feature would be nice! :-)

If it doesn't tax the servers unnecessarily, I'd enjoy it

Export your gold logs into a spreadsheet and sum the columns.
