Diablo 2 is a fairly old game, this is common knowledge. History on expensive items is very valuable information to have. A lot of times having history on items or not having history on items will be the deciding factor on if you will ever be able to sell your out dated non ladder items on d2jsp.
I haven’t thought too deeply into this, but I’ve found that after ladder seasons it becomes extremely difficult to sell items and often times when items are converted from ladder to non ladder after seasons end. I believe there is a loop hole that allows for lack of trustfulness in some users to accuse blindly of other users of having fake or unperm items, when in all reality they were found on ladder and just converted to non ladder when the season ended.
There is an open door without providing proper evidence where a user can buy items vs fg on the diablo subs. Then turn around and accuse the seller of having unperm items and that the gear all poofed & demand refunds.
Without creating a detailed and proper item registry on what items have been converted from ladder to non ladder, there is no counter argument for the accusations and it could very well result in being locked. The user accusing of being sold faulty items can stash gears away on any diablo 2 mule account they wish and choose to withhold that information, then claim the item poofed.
So I propose there be some type of item registry when ladder seasons end.
On expensive items, you could take a screenshot of your character while on ladder, then screenshot the items with time stamps in game for verification. Or if there is a better way I believe this tool could be very valuable for the diablo 2 community.
Edit: Maybe we created a new moderator/mediator service. For Xfg amount per in game character you pay a trusted user on D2Jsp to go onto your accounts, log all in items you have and then it is verified that are on ladder realms. So that you have trusted information that the gear you are selling on non ladder is verifiable to have been converted and is not unperm and doesn’t require extensive history.
