rainbow orb setting > change color or individual letters

It was suggested in the past, and was closed. I don't know whether if this was because OP stopped bumping and the topic ended up being bumped by someone else, or if because the idea was turned down by the staff.

I'm not personally a big fan of the idea, and I think it could easily end up looking messy, if many users start having different colors for each letter.
I think the current rainbow orb settings are fine as they are, as in their simplicity.

I have to agree.
It would be fun to make my initials different colour, but a lot people would make their name all character different colour, just because they can.

Why would that be a good idea?
