just like the topic says, my suggestion is the option to hide the sub-forums on forums such as General Chat just like hiding selected forums on the forum index
each time I look at general chat (on all my devices) I have to scroll though the sub-forums (User Blogs, Political And Religious Discussion, Science, Technology and Nature, etc.) just to see new posts
I think my suggestion is pretty straight forward and would be fairly easy to implement
