opening the newest instant messenger automatically enters you in a #d2jsp mirc chat lobby which comes up on top of your instant messenger window. every time you run messenger you have to close it or click on the instant messenger tab to view new instant messenger items. option to disable or at least send it to the background of the IM main window IM is opened

the default channel is the home channel where you can type in #d2jsp and then you're in the "jsp chat"
when you're in a guild, you will be able to access the guild's chat

I think no change needs to be done here, sorry ^^

I may be wrong, but I feel like the IM is one of the most under used features of this site. Perhaps an overhaul would attract more people to use it.
