Implementing HTTPS would make it resistant to sniffing account and gold passwords in case you are using JSP from public hotspot.
Right now every server on the route from your PC to JSP knows your credentials.

Never had problems with security on this site, so I don't see a reason for this.
People who lose their account to keyloggers or whatever are just stupid, and there is no cure for that.

The thing is, if you are using public internet (school, library, McDonalds, etc, etc), anyone can get your account details, including account name, gold password, account password

it's all in clear text and for example in wireshark shows as following

account: <account>
password: <password>
gold password: <gold password>

/edit: doesnt show your account name, but rather gives the account id
