I am one of the more active sellers in the trading section and I find myself having a major issue. Our message boxes have a maximum size of 50 messages.

Between offers, frends catching up, spam, and forum gold xactions appearing as messages I have to empty my inbox 3 times per day.

This is a hassle but beyond that it is a security issue. In trade forums traders agree on prices behind the scenes with pms. When a scam occurs it is usually not identified until a day or 2 later when the messages in question would be deleted. There are a couple ways you could deal with this issue.

1 You could enlarge the inbox to allow 100 messages and make a seperate inbox that recieves the forum gold transaction notifications that only holds say 10 then automatically deletes them (that way you dont end up with too much server space being filled and we can still get info from the gold logs)

2 You could charge players either forum gold or irl money donations to buy larger inboxes. I wouldn't hesitate to shell out 50 dollars to double or tripple my inbox size.

I do currently archive my messages but I get home from work to find a full inbox several times a week. I am losing business and the site is losing money.

What you're suggesting here, enlarging the Inbox, has been suggested plenty of times before in Site Suggestions.
Basically, if you're under the skepticism that somebody is going to "scam" you could always gather those PM's and create a new folder in your PM box where you could save the messages.

That's one way to deal with the limited PM box space.

Keep your trades within the trade thread and only PM when necessary (exchanging game name, password, or account information).

The above suggestions I already practice, I am the only person out there archiving their messages. My main complaint is that I get 50 pms while I am at work and I get home to a full box. What woule be the harm in offering an expanded inbox for a donation to the website.

Is there any reason they dont want to do it? They don't want to have another source of capital?

You can keep thousands of forum gold transactions a month for free but you can't keep 100 messages for a fee? It seems like everyone thinks "this has been said before". But has it been actually considered? Or is it an automatic write off? Seems like a no brainer to me.

You can buy polls and topics and stuff with guild points, not like this would be a radical addition.

Right now you have gotten maybe 30 bucks out of me in irl cash. You cold get another 30-50 dollars out of me for about 10 cents in server space.
