This is pretty much the only missing color for stars that we dont have that would look good
I know Sane has created 3 stars suggestion but his are colors that already exist just with different brightness level or w-e its called
like dark green --> lime
purple --> violet
etc

Gold is the only missing color imo that would look good that isn't a color variation of another color

I don't have the photoshop skills to back it up so I just googled it
A gold star near this color (up to 5x gold stacked)

The problem with gold is at that size ( 10p x 10p ) is that it is hard to maintain the actual "gold" factor.

Gold is more of a shimmer/texture than it is a color.

I resized your original image and had to change a LOT simply because it looked almost identical to the yellow stars that are available.

As for being easier to obtain than the white stars that is a little ridiculous... I mean ultimately it is Paul's discretion, but I don't see why he would add new - and desirable - stars that would be easier to obtain.

looking at it now it still is quite similar to the yellow star, a bit darker however

Because whites are hard to get and there's no point in adding more stars that are higher than whites if no1 is even close to whites yet
If u add 1x gold near idk lets say 5 pinks...then people who are near 5 pink might be interested in donating more to the site in order to get that star and then eventually go up to 5 purple, 5 gold etc...

And yeah, it looks similar as the yellow it seems in 10x10p but dont take the image I posted as the only option, its just an example

Im sure there are ways to tweak this..
