I feel there should be a prompt or some notification when a user goes to purchase a guild to let them know that they can buy a guild off someone rather then purchasing a brand new one for 2,500fg.

This will help out the users trying to get out of their own guild and make the sale.
This can also save the buyer some forum gold so it will help both parties.

I think it should also be emphasized that once they purchase a guild, they cannot disband the guild. They then have to find someone to sell it to. Yes, I'm sure it states some of this in the site rules, but not everyone reads all the site rules specially when they have the random ideas :P

Even if they do not prompt them but have a little Tips or Guild FAQs on the same page where you would purchase a guild (Page link HERE)

No - all of this information is explained in section 5 of the GH sticky.

Plenty of information at our fingertips, we should use it!

my point is that not everyone even knows to look there though. Basically have those links and such at the same screen where you go to purchase it.

Yes for this option only.. many are unaware of the inability to delete a guild by leaving it as its last member. :(

I vote yes, it never hurts to make users more aware of their options :)

As for it being in the unified sticky, sure it's there and so is alot of things. That's the problem, it's so cluttered no one wants to go through and even pay attention to all the links there and read 25 pages worth of information that they probably won't remember tomorrow.

It is condensed and sectioned and all but the fact is always going to be, not many people are going to read every last bit, and remember it. Or frankly remember it was there.

I personally have not read every sticky within the unified sticky and couldn't remember but a few that are even listed there by memory! heh.
