Didnt check if this has been suggested before or if it is a hidden option but what about a option to have a email sent to an email you provide whenever you receive a private message?

I feel this would be fairly handy for typical smart phone users who either need to monitor for an important message, or monitor their email anyway. I don't believe it's an option at this time however it appears that it was mentioned for topic replies judging from the old General Help sticky: http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=3668614.

However it has been suggested time after time after time and denied each time.

I believe it wouldn't hurt to have it as an OPTION in your account settings, unticked by default. However it may take up too much domain space to put in effect, not sure.
