For example, if you're having a discussion in some subforum and want some user to see your post, just tag him.

" @User1 I completely disagree with what you said because this and that. "

This could be a good idea, but they would have to make sure that the PM Block List will block a person for tagging someone if that person is blocked on that someone's PM list.

And I feel like this has been suggested before and denied.

I wasn't sure if that had been suggested, I looked at the top 100 suggestions for the word 'tag' and didn't find anything.
I agree about the PM Block List.

ehm, so you want it to be like facebook that you "tag" someone in a status that person will get a notification.
If you want to tag someone in a post to ask if they want to play, why not just PM that person?

That might not have been a good example. Think of a huge discussion between many users and you would like to address something that a user has said days ago. Chances are the user might not look back at that topic.

I wouldn't use this feature, I think it'd be annoying to be tagged in a thread I'm no longer interested in (i.e. trade thread).

It will be too much annoying in my eyes. Thank you for the clarification. I would prefer to have a pm instead of this "tag"
