i see a lot of abbreviations for racist and homosexual slurs and there is not a report option for this.

any ideas?

This would fall under "Excessive Flaming or Personal Attacks"

I don't see the need for this since this would fall under the "Excessive Flaming or Personal Attacks" report option.

that's what i usually report, but nothing seems to ever get done about it.

this applies even when it's not directed specifically at someone?

Yes, it includes all racial and offensive slurs.

You must be very patient with things when you report them and most of the time on the surface you won't see action being taken but rest assure it's being taken, users are verbally warned to be fair. And if it's aware with proof It's A multiple offense after verbal warnings, more action is taken.

/e: Also take in consideration the Mediators/Moderators/Admins are all very busy all the time! :)

This is correct.
I personally see no use of another option.
