Okay so i dont have photoshop or anything to show you what it would look like but i am not sure if im the only one that will type out a long message and there inbox be full!
I suggest under the "send a message" it shows how full there inbox is before you try and message :)


I made a little thing with paint that would show what it could look like. The blank spot by send a message could say the users % of inbox filled up
Kind of like how by your pictures it says how many you have well instead of that % of mail you have

I don't see a point in this. You will get a notification if user's mail box is already full. Its enough.

Obviously im saying so you dont waste time typing up a huge message which im sure we've all done before for AFTER YOU TRY AND SEND IT, that it will say the users box is full

Of course he said that. TT don't have to worry about someones box being full cause they can still send a message :P

Or they make our message boxes bigger.


The % full on a users profile is good because you can check if you CAN send a message to the user successfully.

Also, as stated above from what dizzle said, "type type type" Big message and get "sorry this users inbox is currently full". This is what is the problem, because you have to copy/paste the message if you're still able to go back to it.

A little change would save us a lot of time and make it more organized to send messages because not everyone empties their inbox or are able to (such as people using jsp on their phones at work)

to cut out some of the work and effort that would be required for staff (as thats a big no no, to make someone work) i think it should be quicker.

IE when you click "send message" it should give you the full box message right then. its limited work on staff and still gets the job done.

i too have had this issue many many times XD or i type up a message to someone i aint seen in awhile and then boom..."this user does not have message rights" -.-

I really like the idea, it seems helpful and easy to implement.

This suggestion is always denied, I still don't really know why but it is. I guess you just have to get used to cleaning it ~5-6 times a day, haha. Unfortunately, the admins are notoriously rigid with regards to changing the message box and how it functions etc., however, so while I personally hope it happens, just don't count on it.
