My name became Soulismine out of random, because the names that I would normally have choosen were already taken! Wouldn't it be nice if there was a way for the mods to implement a way for us to take a name of someone who has been inactive for say 1000 days? We'd have have to pay to change names like any other name change, but if someone was inactive for over 1000 days, clearly they may not return. It would send them an e-mail allowing them 7 days to return in order to keep their name. If they decided to return through the e-mail within the 7 days, then my option to change to their name would be declined. And if they do not accept it, then the mods, would have the option to apply it and change our name to the desired one. I'd even be okay with it costing double the amount, so that they charge us for the persons name to be changed as well.

I know it's a silly idea, but it'd be nice to get some of the original names back, from 2003 and on users who made an account and never did anything with their name after that...

On a technicality it says old user accounts will NOT be deleted under any circumstances, I'm not wanting them deleted, just renamed.

The only possibility to change your name if the one you wish is already taken, is to ask directly to the person if he is ready to change, or to offer him the name change (of course if he accept) and also to pay for your change. This mean 2 name change. And the user need to come online to have this possibility.
d2jsp will not change the name to an user because he is inactive.

As I said, not going to happen, sorry.

Plus if someone tried to log in after a long time of inactivity they wouldn't be able to because their name would be gone.

Well it would send them an e-mail telling them what name they would log in with, a temporary one until they use the name change boughten by the one requesting the name.

Not going to happen, sorry. This has been suggested several times and everytime it got denied for above mentioned reasons.
