Hi guys.

This is an idea that I got for a change, however I think it would be implemented best with use of THIS SUGGESTION to make it more of a great add!

Dmon_Hunter has a simple suggestion to allow us to manage friends lists in a similar way to getting notifications of pm's and below screenshot kind of summarizes this.







My addition is more about the way that the friends are displayed on your profile, but joint with this it would allow you to have a lot more customizable of a friends list!

As it stands your profile friends will display differently to anyone using different screen resolutions. So with the 8 friends slots that I currently have, I get them perfectly aligned with 4 users on 1 row, and 4 users on another row. This is all whilst using 1366x768 screen resolution on my laptop. However in saying this, if i use my desktop pc, I get 6 users across the top row, and 2 users aligned to the left on the second row. (Example below).



The second part was a random users profile, just to get the idea of what I was saying.

I think it would be cool to allow a couple of boxes to change the way that your friends are viewed on your profile, and the options will look like this:



The 2 options are listed above, and would allow you to change how many users are on a row, and whether the extra ones would display aligned to the left/right/centre. This would allow people to be able to view adapt their profile friends list how they like

If there is any confusion, I can add another screenshot of how the friends list would justify afterwards, please lmk your thoughts!

I like the prospect of customizing the way one distributes a friends list. That would be useful.

is great idea Andy. the 1st or 2nd option is already better than that the one that there is at the moment

BUT

again are we trying to fix something that isn't broken?
for something like this to be implemented means a fair bit of coding. which I cant see this going ahead(in my opinion) when what we have at the minute is pretty simple ^

but I like the idea ^

Both are pretty good ideas. They are not all that necessary as far as I am concerned, as they are mostly just vanity edits that I wouldn't use, but I don't see why not. People should have the option.

This should be a real simple amount of coding! So nothing really too strenuous however will improve the overall feel of how it is used, and could possibly lead to site development and new features for the site... Look at the D2jsp Instant Messenger, that could be implemented better with a better use of friends list, and if people can setup them a little more freely! Also keeps us profile nerds in check and allows us to play more freely xD



The first is more about functionality, making it easier to manage it in the first place, and yes the second is more about vanity and manageability

I like this idea, and especially in combination with the previously mentioned suggestion.
It could prove a great asset to the site to have this implemented and it definitely has my Yes!
