So I was thinking about ways, other than trusting people, and using moderators for trades. What if you created some sort of escrow account that could act as a mediator, without the use of real people. For instance, player A wants to buy 1B igg for 4500FG. Player A would send the forum gold to the escrow, where player B could see that the Forum gold was sent. Player B could then send his item to player A. Once player A receives his item, he confirm it in the escrow, and funds will be sent to player B. Player B will then close the escrow by acknowledging he received the funds. If both parties don't acknowledge successful trade within 5-10 min, it would then go to a mediator. The forum gold that player A placed in the escrow would freeze, until mediator can address the issue.

This would be an easy way to streamline trades while creating a safer environment D2jsp traders. It would also streamline the scammer accusations because there would be record of both parties, and their agreement.

The escrow could be as simple as a blank topic with fill in the blank questions. Either side could fill out the agreement and send it to the adjacent trader for acceptance. Once it is accepted, the trade would begin once the gold is send to the escrow.

I like the idea and voted yes, but to be honest, I think I would use this as often as I use a mediator - that is, never - and that it should be optional.

I simply do not have the time for this sort of thing with the amount of trades I need to make in a day, and I know I am not alone in this fact.
