Suggestion
Add a button into General Help ONLY that allows an answer to be chosen by the OP.
After the "Best Answer" Button has been selected, Auto-Close topic (and/or move to archives)

The person just needs to reply saying that I got my answer from xxx user.
Although it has been said before that only staff members should have the power to close topics, not normal users.
