I think it would be useful if we could add our own comments in our gold log if the other user doesnt add any.
for example, it gets a little annoying going through my gold logs and seeing that i sold something for X amount of fg but not knowing what it is. would also make providing history a little bit easier if the user you sold that item to brings it up while trying to sell it themselves

I'm pretty sure this has been suggested before.
