This site suggestion is to update this forum and how things work in here.

This forum is a place for users to make topics ideas they would like to see added to the site. Other users come in here and view topics and check out the users idea then they can vote in the poll or leave a comment if they wish. As the poll votes go up it gives users a better idea of how good of an idea it is for other members on the site. So lets make it easier for the user who made the topic and or is tracking the topic be able to follow how the poll is doing via Topic Tracker and Site Suggestion.

This is just a rough idea of how it should look on the Topic Tracker page.
Leaving room on both sides for the topic title and so you can leave a comment still. By also bolding the poll answer to show which one the user has voted in, showing the user they have look at the topic before at some time and either like the idea or didn't like it.

On the Forums page, in addition to the; Author, Replies, Views, Last Reply columns a Poll column will be added to help users viewing the forum see how the suggestions poll is doing. By also bolding what the user has voted to let users know if they have voted in the suggestion and have looked at the topic before. By doing this even if the user doesn't have the topic tracked they can still know if they voted in it and see how it's poll is going. Allowing for better progress in suggestions that have been overlooked or ignored by users thinking they have looked at it before. With this added they will now know for sure if they have looked at the topic and voted in it's poll.

To further help this forum out for users who have or haven't been in here before, a pop up window should come up linking a sticky post in this forum or a sticky post via Help and Rules Insuring they don't miss any key points to leave out in order make the best out of his or her Suggestion. By doing this there will be a lot less closed topic due to improper use of the forum. A simple d2jsp Notifier message will pop open upon creating a new topic in the forum to suggest users to read some quick information on how to make a Site Suggestion. Simply click OK when doen or if you do not wish to read the information to continue on with the suggestion making.

The option for New Topic should be taken out. You can't create a topic in this forum without having a Poll attached to it. So by taking that option out of the forum and by automatically adding a Poll Question and Poll Choice to a topic it will make creating topics in this forum more easier for the user and will make suggestions a lot easier to follow. First by setting up a simple: Yes or No choice for the Poll Choices will allow for the poll to be seen via Topic Tracker and on the Forums page. Then by setting up a predetermined Poll Question to work with the preset Poll Choices it will allow users not to worry about having to remember to attach a Poll on the topic when creating it.

This is the way it looks right now when u make a new topic.

This will be a rough idea of how it should look once fixed.

With a few fixs in this Forum it will become better for users to post in and for users to follow suggestions they like.

Please share this idea with your friends and leave a comment and a vote if you want.

Thanks.

Voting no.
I think it looks cluttered and is unnecessary.

The last part about the notifier, I think it would be better if it is like in the scammer accusations and trading grounds:
Please make sure that you have read and understand the ''How To Post A Site Suggestion'' before submitting your suggestion (would be shown above the topic title box)

But even that is not necessary, since there is a bolded topic at the top of the page.

I'm not too much of a fan of this idea, sorry.

Not only there is a lot of work that needs to be done when implementing this, but it looks way too cluttered as Rasmus mentioned in the post above.

I think you have made a nice effort and its an alright idea, but imo its a bit of an overkill...

As FantaExotic said, unnecessary.

Voted yes, this is just a suggestion on how ti should look, I'm sure that if this did become implemented, some changes would be made.

I think it's a good idea.
But maybe a different way to post the results
Because it could look too messy

But I agree on this suggestion.
