I believe opening up d2jsp to the idea of alternate currencies for donations could really draw more users to the site, make it easier for people concerned about their identity on the internet to donate to the site and put d2jsp and it's forum gold on the map for a better future.

I know that similar ideas may have been discussed before and I did find a suggestion for BTC trading sub-forum BUT I am not proposing FG or other virtual goods be traded on this site with other users, only using that d2jsp accept donations via alternate currencies, the most popular being Bitcoin.

The problem with 'donating' USD, EUR, Yen, etc is that people would be performing real life trades, or selling Forum Gold for cash, which are against the rules, under the pretense of donating. It would result in people being scammed or cheated for real cash. It is as much for protecting the users, as keeping the value of FG up, preventing other scams, and keeping the rules plain and simple. People would agree to 'donate' someone cash, if they 'donated' them in game items. It would be very hard to manage as well.

I mean donating to Njaguar using alternate currencies, e.g. "bitcoin," not other users, sorry.
