it is just a very small addition to the information given in the quote, but it helps alot finding posts by other users.

another idea is to add a link to the quote that links you directly to the post.

Voted no - the time of posting is an aid used to find the post, so adding the post number would be redundant, as the time of posting already serves the same purpose as your suggestion.

My only qualm with the current system is that quoted times are made in the poster's timezone, so a 8:00am quote is actually, say, 1:00pm for other users, though it still shows as 8:00am.


It would be more efficient to augment an already present system than to add a new one.

that is exactly the problem and thats why i think it is a good idea to add the post#, because the time shown in the quote is not always helpful.

as i said i want to add it to the current and i think it should be no big deal.
i even made an example in my first post, its just an addition the the current quotesystem, nothing else.

dont know what you wanted to tell me with that post.
