i would like to be able to upload pictures from computer, and not have to always use a url.

like being able to browse your pictures on hard drive, then put them up

There are already many sites that perform this service, and are optimized for it, such as imgur.com, tinypic.com, or imageshack. These sites are fine for the purpose, you just have to copy paste the link, and, it is much better for the site load. Loading a page of posts with just text, and images embedded from other sites doesn't use as much site resources as a page filled with embedded d2jsp images. If you added up the size of all the images d2jsp actually hosts, such as emoticons, stars, and a few other icons, it would add up to a surprisingly low amount, especially now that the stars are one image, after it has been loaded once and saved in your cache, all stars are loaded, and there is a very low amount of image loading requests from users browsing. Having the ability to upload images to d2jsp would be bad for the site, the current system works very well.
