Currently the game Dota 2 developped by valve is at the beta stage. You need to get a beta key invite from steam to gain access to the game and play it.

Valve as sent out many keys to most of the dota 2 players and now there is an overstock of beta keys for pretty much every player. Some people on other forums (such as redit) and even on this forum are trying to
make the game free 2 play for everyone and give their beta keys to new players.

this thread sumarize pretty much what I am trying to propose here. There is large quantities of keys in circulation and most of the players are trying to give them for free to people who need keys.

My suggestion is this :

Why not make a pinned topic to go with the trading rules of the dota 2 subsection where people who want to give for free their beta keys/people who need keys can post

this way, it will be obvious there is many keys going for free on the forum so there will be less posts of people trying to sell keys when these are not worth anything anymore and same goes for the posts by people who want to give their keys away.

This suggestions requires little to no place on the forum servers, and could reduce the spam in that subforum.

I was actually going to suggest this.
I have 6 keys atm. They really aren't worth anything. I would prefer to give them to 6 players on the JSP community who I know don't have the game and want it than people who just want it for multi dota 2 accounts.
Would be awesome to have a sticky just saying "Extra Dota 2 keys to give away? Post here"

this is exactly the reason why this should already be implanted. It's a suggestion thats takes barely no ressources on the website and that has no impact on any other section of the forum. This said, most of the dota 2 community would love to have such a topic and have been creating a few topics to give out away their keys. This would just help our small community while taking no time to make and having no back sides...
