Would be cool if you could post a status on your profile page so that if someone clicked your name, they could see what you doing.

Could you please explain your suggestion a bit further with more details?

If you are referring to a status on your profile page that is visible to everyone and that you can update yourself, it already exists. Go to your profile page and find 'Status'. It's located underneath your Location and Birthday information.

I'd rather not have everyone know what I am doing, that is entirely my own business unless I wish to disclose it in my "Status" option. While it could be helpful for trades, knowing what the other user is doing, it's a tad invasive having people know my every move.

If I am understanding the OP correctly, he is referring to the commonly-used "current activity" feature that is seen on most forum board solutions. For example, you would look at my profile and see "Adding Reply - User Status" for my current activity. You would also see if I were sending a PM to somebody, and it would say "Private Messaging".

I understand that there is a "status" in your profile but it would be nice to have either:

A) A List of Statuses you can post below your name where, group/posts/joined/gold/guild are (besides the the fact that there is an online/offline indicator)
Ability to have a custom status (Limited to IDK 10-15 chars)

This would be able to be edited just by clicking on an additional tab on the top of the menu system where (Settings/Messages/Forum Gold is)

It would be like a "status" on facebook, but in a much more limited sense in that you can't write a novel there...

Example of preset:
AFK
Busy
Available
Eating

Example of custom:
Showering, BBS
Making Food
Working out
Trolling

This would have to be limited to stay in the size that is provided near your avatar obviously, but I think it would help in trades, and ESPECIALLY help with mediators/trade mods, as they could update their status to say "Mediating Now", "Cannot Mediate", etc

I realize there is a status in someone's profile, BUT, having to edit that continuing AND relying on someone looking at your profile is alot more work. Also doing it the way I suggest eliminates you having to go to your profile in the first place AND eliminates them from having to go to your profile

It is also more "public" so everyone can see.
