Suggestion #1
I would like to see a new length of time added called forever.

Adding the length of time called forever would be useful for topics that you always view often. Such topics may include your events page or guild page or even a trade forum. It could also remove the hassle of having to relocate an old topic that the tracking time has expired. Since forever is forever, you could theoritically track something, leave jsp for 2 years, return and it would still be tracked.

I do realize that there is an option to track any thread for 3 months but to me if i want to track something that long i might as well track it for my entire jsp lifetime, which is what i am suggesting. I mean its a hassle to have to find my topics every 3 months just to track them again.

Suggestion #2

Allow us to set the amount of time we want to track a topic we create, instead of forcing a month on us.

Maybe i only want to track a topic i make for 1 week. Maybe my topic is so important that i want to track it forever.
Who knows? I just would like options....

Yes, No?

I like the idea of tracking something forever just to keep things organized. You could save links in your web browser or profile notes but I think it would be so much easier to just keep them in your tracked topic list because that's where I usually look for threads I have saved.

And for the second idea, I think at that point it's kind of like splitting hairs because you could just track it for a long time and stop tracking it when it turns out you don't need it.

The first one has been suggested before but I never followed up on it to see any responses on it.

The second one is not that bad of a idea.
I always end up not clicking that just because I have to edit it right after I make the topic.
So I just not press it and when the topic is made, I select track topic right after.

Voted yes.

i don't like the idea of tracking topics. tracking topics could end up more spam, but tracking topics could also be helpful too

Either of them would be fine; I agree the 3 month timer isn't enough.
