War Z was in development way before DayZ even existed.
Pay to play you say ? it's a one time payment of 19.99$, and all the future released patches/dlc's will be free of charge.

So you're saying Day Z is free ? As far as i can remember, I had to pay 39.99$ on steam in order to play it.
