I'm new here i know, but wouldn't it be a much wiser idea that rather than your inbox getting full & not receiving anymore mail,
when a new mail is received @ 50 messages, the oldest message just gets deleted and replaced by the new mail?

would mean nobody misses out on anymore trades.

Regards

I've voted no. The right to delete messages should be in the user's hands, not via an automatic deletion. If you want to quickly delete all of your messages, you can use an HTML archive and save them to a folder on your computer, then delete the messages right after. The process isn't time consuming at all and serves the purpose of deleting your posts without fearing you've permanently deleted important information, it's simply in an HTML archive.

The main concern that I have with this suggestion is that important / unread private messages occasionally could be lost due to this auto deletion. The current system of manually removing private messages has worked well for many years and I honestly don't see a problem with it. It's still effective and efficient. I would much rather prefer being in charge of removing my own pm's than having the system automatically remove them. In addition to this, keeping your inbox from filling up isn't all that hard of a task. :p

It's a no from me.

No from me, since if someone spams your inbox, you lose all older pm's.

so it could be abused.

but if someone spams your inbox you can't receive new messages that maybe equally important?
