I think a read/unread feature would be a nice add.. with date and time viewed.. this would eliminate spamming a persons inbox multiple times over the same topic if you dont get a response.

Nahh, not needed. If you don't know if they have seen your message you PM them another time. If they still don't reply, go on and get over him imo.

Wouldn't bother with a system like that.

Sometimes I get a pm and decide to either think about it or can not answer at the time and leave it as is.

Getting another pm on top of that asking why I did not answer them even when I saw it will just be annoying.

This feature actually already exists. Choose 'track message' when sending it, and then view the Message Tracker to see if it is undread (bold), read (normal), or deleted (gray/closed topic color)

They can still click the 'mark as unread' button to fool you though.

i can understand this.. maybe even an add for a automated response.. just a click of a button, ( thinking about your offer, dont have time right now to respond, no thank you, i will get back to you later...)

none the less not having to track it and it showing right in your inbox would be an easier route..
