Usually I go to the archives section to find a closed topic (like 60+ posts)
or for a sold Item to find who bought it, it would be nice to have a search option in the archives.

Search would be same as the trade sections, but applied to the archived sections too.

Archive not closed.

Unsure about this one.

The reason why the search exists in the trading section is to help you find a trade / help you sell a item.
But they are topics with the last post of a range with 6 days or so tops.
Archive section has much more than 6 days of last post within topics.
I still feel that archive topics should be able to track, then you do not lose a topic when it is moved from trading section to archive.

Also on a side note for reference, a reason why this might not pass as a suggestion.
When you are trading, you must post within the topic because pm trades is not allowed on the site.

No trades via PM. (It's harder to prove a scam via PM than from a trade thread, so always negotiate and deal through a trade thread, not PM).

I will leave my vote empty.

you can't track a closed topic (or archived for that matter because archived topics are closed too)

also you can always pm the user to repost, it does not mean you are pm trading

finally, you can limit the search feature to only look for topics form the last n days (like 30 or 60 or 90) not necessarily the whole archive

The current Search for the d2 section will not display the posts for a closed topic.

Lets say you search for Shako
Topics that has the word shako will come up.
But topics that is closed will show up as "Topic closed".
You can not see the title name and can not see the person that made the topic.

I asked why does it show topic closed over displaying the topic and that was the answer I got.
Even if a repost can be done, it seems they do not want any intention of letting this happen so searching for closed topics.

Only thing I can think of would be allowing everyone to track archived topics.
Then why a topic is moved you do not lose the tracking.
