I very well know that I just replied in my own topic, so don't you think it's a bit stupid to receive a notification for it in my Instant Messenger?
fix it, it's confusing to hear a "bling" sound every time I post to my own topics

Not as simple as it seems really - as far as I can see from this end, it's coded so that any replies to the topic are counted as notifications and sent to the IRC client.
To put it simply, it'd need to be re-coded (or depending on the code, have an additional line added) to remove notifications for a sole user within each thread.

I'm going to vote no, it's really not that much of a hassle, especially once you realize that it notifies you when you post.
