Many of you know that trolls come by and post on your poll without putting a reason. Not only is it not helpful (poll wise) it also skews votes.

Proposal: add a check box when creating a poll thread that says: require post before voting [x]

then when the thread is made, the poll can only be replied to after the user posts in the thread

this would not change the current system, you can still create threads that do not require people to post before voting, this would be an option only in addition to the current implementation

how would this help?
in this section specifically, it would require everyone that votes to also state why they voted for what, and it will stop trolls from voting in every poll just to skew results

people that don't want to post will just post ''no'' or ''yes'' and it won't be helpful at all.

to prevent people from writing just "no" or "yes" you can add a min word count (like pms)
if you try to pm someone no it wont send

also even a simple yes or no actually helps because then mods will no who is spamming and who is not and take appropriate action






thats good, then they will get a warn from mod and they wont spam this section anymore

if someone posts something like what you wrote, that is considered spam and mods could take appropriate action

All that will do is create more spam on a spam infested website.
