I kind of wish, in some way, we were to get notified, if someone quoted us or replied in a thread were we are active, so we don't always have to check back to see if someone quoted, replied or anything at all.

I've searched a little and gathered that email notifications aren't going to happen? If that's right, could there be any other solution for this, that's not tracking all threads where we posted in (and having to manually do it)?

You receive notifications for your own threads for when people reply, this only works in the IRC Client though.

Through the NJIRCIM you can get notifications of people posting in threads you've created, but not for tracked topics or threads we've posted in. I think there would be far too many notifications, and I think things could get really chaotic. A lot of the d2jsp user base posts in hundreds of topics a week, and to have that many notifications to sift through would be a nightmare. Then again, an option to disable this feature could be introduced. However, I still think that it's unneeded, for I find the Topic Tracker to work just fine.
