Is it just me, or do other ppl also feel that the classic "upload image from hard drive" would be A LOT EASIER???

i dont think it would be so needed. and all those images would need alot of space too.

There's only 2 steps being eliminated, and those steps honestly do not take all that long. Opening up Imgur, uploading a file from your computer, and copying/pasting the Direct Link into the Avatar field - compared to uploading an image. Yes, steps are eliminated, but there's enough bandwidth as it is - and as A2K has said, it will take up a lot of space.
