Soooooo, as an active trader i get 5-10 wonderful people that create needs/services in "D2:R Softcore Trading" when they actually should be posted in "D2:R Softcore Ladder Trading".

Wouldnt it be great if the forum name was changed to "D2:R Softcore Non Ladder Trading" to make it less problematic with the mix ups?

Do the people that vote No even understand? This wouldnt do anything else than making it EASIER for everyone, espcially the newer ones here

Annoying? Yes.

Worth doing? No.

Arguments? Also no I guess.
Strongly upvote this, wasted cumulatively around an hour just today, discussing the deal with like 4 people whom I then couldn't join coz *surprise* they were ladder.

I see that you only trade on Ladder so you do not experience this problem
Frequent enough to care, I guess. I spend countless of hours each month with this stubborn problem because of people lack knowledge.

Also, in my world - this wouldn’t require anything else but a simple line added to an already working code. This is a no brainer in my world until I see some solid arguments against it.

You think the renaming will solve people who are actively looking on two subs, not paying attention and post in the wrong one?

I use NL all the time to search for price checks on sc’s and jewels.

Havent it named “nonladder” would not stop me from accidentally posting in wrong one.

Now if it had a prompt.. that might help.

Edit: similar to how legacy is now.

still not a solid argument why it shouldnt be done. Would it make you feel worse if this was implemented or whats the problem? This might be one of the smallest changes ever needed compared to other suggestions, lmao

I don’t think the effort would alleviate the issue, as I clearly outlined.

Not sure why my answer has you all upset.

I don’t see how a name change would stop someone from accidentally posting in the wrong forum.

A prompt similar to what legacy has sure, but a name change?
Wouldn’t solve anything.

That's the point. If there would be at least any cons, but no. Implementing this change is really trivial. It won't solve all the cases, sure. But it will definitely reduce them by x% which is already better than nothing, so I don't see any reasons why not to do it other then out of laziness and/or carelessness.

Explain to me how someone not reading the name of the forum they are posting in will be alleviated by it having a different name they didn’t read in the first place, and are hence, already posting in the wrong forum?

I''m not upset at all but the "effort" in this would be close to nothing. Give me an hour and even I would figure out how to make this happen with little to no experience in coding.

I'm not exaggerating this; there is atleast two people PER day that i have this problem with. I offer X for Y, waiting Z min for a reply. Once the reply has been recieved it takes Z min to make a game for a trade and change regions. And guess what happens when I try to join their game or vice versa?
