Simply that it's doesn't give any benefits to the community at all.
Doesn't help you at trading or prompt anything in discussions topics.

There is already Views that tell you how many users have been into the topic. It also tells you at the bottom of the topic which users are in the topic at that time.

i think it can give you a better mutivation to work/post things in that topic

If someone is interested in the topics content, they will post.

Trading:
Not tracking topic + Posting an offer - indicates interest - and seller might reach out if someone overbids (Usually seller just sells as soon as topic reaches prefered amount of fg offered, and the tracking would not lead to anything).
Tracked topic, but no offer - im pretty sure you will never get a pm from seller/buyer.
If seller/buyer is supposed to pm every ppl tracking your topic, I would assume it goes under "Causing more spam".


Other forums/Discussion = People should be able to track their interests/personal hobby/suggestions/whatever topic privately I think.
If someone is interested in something, its their own choice to publish their interests or not.
