Just have a quick guide to teach people how to setup their video game for live recording as OBS can run on a god darn potato, and every trade can be fully recorded.

I do this for all D2R and OSRS trades. Very easy to setup and record once you know whats going on. Just make sure people confirm their JSP account before trades (can't do this on OSRS sadly) and your golden.


This should honestly be a thing recommended by d2jsp, its absolutely the easiest way of recording and verifying information.

TL;DR: Make a guide on how to setup your video game (literally do it for at least 12+ of the different games d2jsp caters to, show people how to set it up for that game) with OBS studio for quick recording trades.

The recordings are generally 12-30 seconds long w/ D2R and I just wait until the other person arrives before I actually start recording. It's the easiest way. do it.

It's secondary preventative measures people can take to protect themselves if they are over concerned. Nothing would be better than being someone who deals with scam accusations and being given a OSB recording thats 30 seconds long showing the entirety of the event instead of going by two people with opposed opinions of the situation.

Recording trades won't prevent scamming. It may deter some, sure. The safest way is to trade using a mediator.
