Should d2jsp Allow Casinocord and Unregulated Gambling?

Poll Question:
Should d2jsp take action to shut down The Mafia's Casinocord, the Discord casino, and stop allowing unregulated gambling tied to its platform?

The Issue:
*Casinocord* is operating without oversight, violating Discord’s terms of service, and leveraging *d2jsp* to exploit vulnerable users. Here’s how it impacts our community:

1) Unregulated Discord Gambling Associated with d2jsp:
Discussion on illegal gambling here
- Despite Discord’s policies, d2jsp allows discussions about gambling activities linked to *Casinocord*, creating an environment of unchecked risk.

2) Casinocord Exploiting d2jsp Users for Profit:
See the evidence here
- *Casinocord* is targeting vulnerable users within d2jsp, profiting off those who are most at risk, with no protections or safeguards to ensure fairness or prevent exploitation.

The Risks:
- Scams – Users, especially those with gambling problems, are at high risk of being defrauded, and nothing is in place to protect them.
- Zero Transparency – There's no way to verify if the games are fair, making it easy to manipulate vulnerable users.
- No Accountability – d2jsp has no control over what happens in *Casinocord*, leaving users exposed to potential exploitation and financial harm.

The Question:
Should d2jsp shut down Casinocord and demand transparency for gambling-related activities tied to Discord, or allow this unregulated gambling server to continue?

The Other Side:
Some argue that d2jsp shouldn't interfere with private Discord activities, and that users should be free to gamble at their own risk.

Your Opinion Matters:
1️⃣ Yes, d2jsp should stop allowing unregulated gambling like *Casinocord* and demand transparency.
2️⃣ No, d2jsp should not interfere, and *Casinocord* should remain.

Forum gold, in theory, has no real-world value so it's not breaking discord tos. I'm sure d2jsp has that covered as it has stayed in business for this long without repercussions.

On one hand, people should be free to do what they want, gambling included, as long as it does not negatively affect others.
On the other, transparency and trust are important to ensure the fairness of the games.

D2jsp should not interfere but some transparency needs to happen, at least between operators of the casino and d2jsp staff. As the whole system runs on fg I imagine d2jsp should be in the loop of what is happening.

Did you tried to be part of it and now go against it?

No, I wasn’t trying to be part of it. I’m a gambler, and seeing how they take advantage of others like me, without any accountability, is why I’m against it. I’m not opposed to gambling itself—I believe people should be free to do so. However, I don’t think it should be completely unregulated. There needs to be oversight to protect people and ensure fairness.

How old do you have to be to gamble in real world casinos? In the USA it’s 21 years old for almost every state that I’m aware of.

Even though forum gold doesn’t officially have real-world value, it can be used to get in-game items that can be sold for real money. This gives fg actual value, which makes unregulated gambling in Casinocord a serious issue.

People should be free to gamble, but when fg is involved, it’s not just personal—it’s about protecting the community. Without transparency and regulation, it’s easy for users to get scammed or exploited.

There needs to be more oversight from d2jsp, especially since fg can be tied to real-world money. Transparency and accountability are crucial to make sure people aren’t being taken advantage of.
