I block maxmiller, queef, westsking, HMF, huber etc, but their posts are flooded on many pages (because they all have multis).

I’d like a feature that disables their posts from being seen by the person who blocks them. This way, the page is less congested, and you can get the spammy, awful topics from botter multis to begone! Small business trading only.

I thought it would do this by default. It’s nonsense that it doesn’t — AND, that mods can bypass the block. I think a block is a block, and if you block someone, doesn’t matter who, they remain blocked PERIOD. In all forms.

It… should block them out of sight. From the site, from your perspective. Why doesn’t it? If i block someone, clearly I am not trying to trade with them.

Also, yeah, you can see who you’ve blocked… but if i still see a post of theirs on a page, I might accidentally click one of their posts and trade with them after a period of time has passed and I forget who they are.

tl;dr: common sense feature imo. i’ve never seen a blocking system that doesn’t actually block people.

Being able to block staff from PMing you won’t happen as that’s how they issue warnings and inform you of rule violations

Most people will tell you to ignore people that bother you, but if you absolutely do not want to see their posts you can use this(although you will still see topics created by them): https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=103349843

Why would I want to see any of their content written on this website, and sorry but no, I’m not downloading some random spammy, bloatware app on my computer to negate what should be a common sense, default feature for the site.

Thank you for the input.

I can’t ignore maxmiller’s double bolded, italicized rainbow underlined printed topics labeled “BEST, GOOD GEAR MAX WOW! YES!” that can, at times, flood up to 3 pages at once (more than the limit allowed on the website). A block is a block. So block them.

I understand not blocking mods, and why that’s ridiculous — however, if I want to trade with someone I’ve blocked I can simply unblock them and trade, but I don’t want my vision to be tainted by bots and spammers in the top 50 topics (which, when reported, doesn’t do anything).

Let me ask you a simply question, at your place of employmentcy if you encounter such, how would you handle it?

Absolutely incomparable. We’re talking about a website, with coding that can achieve such a function. An online platform. Making this comparison is apples to oranges — not even logical.

You can’t block people irl 🤪🤪🤪

edit: what would i do? I would walk away. But on this site, if i do that? I won’t use the site. Doesn’t apply here buddy.

If you're able to simply ignore such irl then just treat it the same here on the site. Don't give others the satisfaction

Again… we are talking about a ****ing website lol. Not my place of employment. Not real life. Pixels, brother. Their posts are physically on my page after I’ve blocked them. Why?

edit: in 2006 after I blocked people on Xbox Live, for example, they couldn't send me messages, but also the servers would not allow us to be matched up together. A function implemented in the early 21st century should be a default, no-brainer for a 22 year old website.

edit2: ALSO… if i block someone why the hell are they allowed to comment on my posts????? Lol like that’s just stupid. I can block someone and they still spam my posts? Why?

I mean if you block someone on Facebook it removes the ability to see anything they post, comments etc
I don’t see why we shouldn’t be able to block people on here like that as well. Not being able to see their posts would deter bad behavior from people that flat out don’t like each other, freeing up time of the mods that deal with that type of stuff.
