I posted in general help to see why we do not have a report option in private messages, and was told to just block them and move on. I believe it would be more beneficial to address the root of the problem (the abusive messenger) than putting the responsibility on the receiver of the message.

There is a report function in the threads, and mods ban commenters for breaking the rules, but why do the rules all of a sudden stop at private messages?

Are you saying I can spew this kind of hate, without repercussion, until they just block me? What is stopping them from doing this to multiple people?




I am requesting a report function for private messages. The report option can even give the option to block the user, so you can both report and block at the same time.
