I feel since the game just got released it can be proactive and used for help and services for the game

Personally i have ~35 hours already on it but i don't think this is a good fit for the forums
No trading and most "services" would just be things in the main story anyways

Very little in terms of discussion really either, builds are pretty linear and change with the fight at hand

Can you please expand on this? has some good points and I'm seeing 0 counterarguments.
If you want people to vote on this, specially in your favor, it's gonna require some more effort.

devs stated they might look into adding trading too. i'll vote yes but not sure if there'll be enough peeps here for it. great game btw

I think this would change things, however, at present, with it more so being just discussion-based, I think the Steam or other games forum are just fine for a First Descendant discussion thread.

I will withhold my vote for now to see if they do introduce trading or what the roadmap looks like.

I'm all for having a first descendant section.

So far its 50/50, some want it, some don't.

It would cause no harm to those who don't want the section, since they could stay out of it.
On the other hand it would benefit those who want the section for help/discussions..

For example if people need help finding/grinding specific materials, they could make a thread in the section.
People who cannot find friends to play in game and need help progressing through the game such as killing bosses/quests...

Just my 2cents

From observation these are the criterias to games getting their own subforums:

1. There're a variety of trading activity in the game, not just services but actual in-game item, skins and gold trading.

2. Popularity.
